| Dimoria College a pioneer Institution
of higher education, is located about 30 kms to the east
of Guwahati city on NH 37. Established in 1979, Dimoria
College has completed twenty six glorious years.
Offering a large number of subjects in both Arts and
Science stream in the under graduate level, Dimoria
College has been able to attract a large number of
students from the entire north eastern region. Post
Graduate courses in Assamese, economics and
Eco-Restoration have also shown a very enthusiastic
response from the student community of the region. The
P.G. Course in Eco-Restoration is a pioneering course
sponsored by UGC not only in the NE Region but in the
whole country. Moreover there are a good number of
Career oriented Vocational Courses has been introduced
in the college to cater the needs of student community Dimoria College. was awarded B+ ,Grade by the NAAC Pear
Team October 2004.
Though Dimoria College has had its share of laurels
and accolades yet it will always strive for excellence.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
a) A student must clear his/her College dues at the
time of admission. A student has to pay Rs. 50/- (Rupees
fifty Only) as caution money which is refundable.
b) An Identity Card is issued to every to students which
should be brought to the College daily.
c) Students are entitled to Students' Traveling
Concession on production of identity card as per rule.
d) All societies and associations shall be subject to
such guidance and control as the administration may
prescribe from time to time.
e) Only such Societies/ associations as have been
recognized by the College shall have the facilities of
the College premises.
f) All notices desired to be circulated by the students
anywhere in the College premises shall require the
approval of the Principal.
g) Any of the following acts by a student shall be
considered as a major breach of College discipline:
i) Habitual irregularity.
ii) Resorting to violence of any kind.
iii) Disobedience and indecent behavior to teachers and
College authority.
iv) Damaging, defacing or devaluing of any College
property.
h) All students must attend classes and other activities
of the College in the uniforms prescribed by the College
authority. |
