ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 
  • Students can apply for admission to the various courses offered in prescribed Admission form issued by the College office on payment of Rs.50/-
  • Admission is strictly on the basis of merit and according to the College Admission rules.
  • There is a provision for reservation of seats for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, and it is in addition to merit.
  • Students promoted to TDC Second Year Class will have to deposit the College Fees on the date notified by the Principal. Students promoted to H.S. Second year and TDC. Third Year classes will have to deposit College Fees within two weeks of declaration of results by AHSEC/GU (The exact date will be notified by the Principal).
  • All the above categories of students must get their College Identity Card revalidated.
 
REQUIREMENTS:

Students are required to produce the following documents at the time of interview :-

a) Original copies of Mark sheets and Certificates of the pervious qualifying examination.
b) Age Certificate.
c) Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
d) Caste Certificate. (Only for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC students)
e) Gap Certificate (Only for those students who passed the qualifying examination earlier than the current year. This gap certificate is to be issued by Head of the Institution last attended and has to mention the activities of the student during the Gap period.

N.B. :- Students will have to enclose attested copies of all certificates/Mark sheets along with the application form.

SCHEDULE:

The dates for interview cum admission for different courses will be notified through local dailies and the College Notice Board after the declaration of results of SEBA and AHSEC.

ADMISSION FOR UNSUCCESSFUL STUDENTS:
  • Students detained in the test and annual Examination of TDC Second year. Third year classes will be re-admitted to the respective classes as regular students after summer recess. They must attend regular classes and appear in the Test examination.
  • Unsuccessful candidates of HS (Science) Final Examination who appear from this College will have to get their names enrolled as casual students immediately after Puja Vacation. They will have to attend requisite number of Practical classes and appear in the Test Examination.
  • The same rule will apply to unsuccessful candidate of H.S.(Final) examination if they have offered Geography and /or Anthropology. Other unsuccessful students of H.S. (Arts) Final Examination will have to get their names enrolled as casual students and appear in the Test Examination.
  • Students detained in a class for two consecutive years will not be admitted to the regular classes of the College.
REGISTRATION AND MIGRATION

Students whose names are not registered in Guwahati University or Assam Higher Secondary Education Council must pay registration fees at the time of Admission. Students from Boards or universities other than SEBA and GU will have to produce Migration Certificate at the time to Admission.

ATTENDANCE

It is obligatory for every student to attend classes regularly and punctually. Wilful absence from the class room will be treated and punctually. Willful absence from the class room will be treated as a serious breach of College discipline. Each student is required to attend a minimum of 65% of the total lectures delivered.

A student failing to attend classes for 10 consecutive days from the date of commencement of the classes shall forfeit his/her seat.

EXAMINATIONS

Besides the examination conducted by the A.H.S.E.C. and GU, the College also conducts Test Examinations, Mid-Term Examinations, Unit Tests etc. There is also a provision for monthly tests in all subjects which are independently conducted by the respective departments.
